Low Pressure Area Update

At 2:00 a.m. today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 70 km South of Legaspi City or in the vicinity of Masbate (12.5°N, 123.5°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

At 8 a.m. today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 50 km North of Coron, Northern Palawan (12.5°N, 120.5°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

Due to the combine effect of these weather systems, the whole country will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, becoming widespread rains over Central and Southern Luzon and Western Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
